I had saved this place on Google maps as one of the places to try if I was in the area and I wasn't disappointed. The place is only small downstairs but has upstairs seating. It has a fast food kind of vibe but the quality is much higher than that of a fast food chain. The man who took my order was polite and patient with me trying to speak beginner Italian but he spoke English which helped and he recommended certain types of pasta and explained the meal deal which was great service. The food itself was so tasty. Generous portions in the brown paper bowls which don't look that big but it was definitely filling. I tried the amatriciana for the first time as well as the tiramisu which was lovely. So glad I came here. We actually got some of their food delivered via Deliveroo before visiting the shop in person & while eating it in person is better & fresher, the delivered food was also good.
Highly recommend for quick style pasta feed.

Holy smokes! Pastevere is a true gem! If you’re tight on a budget or don’t have much time to spend in the beautiful eternal city of Rome, I highly recommend Pastevere! Not only can they speak multiple languages, but they are super duper friendly! In our entire trip along Italy’s west coast, we had the best service here! The gentleman behind the counter patiently answered my questions, introduced the different pastas, and explained how to order.
We found the prices to be reasonable and the pasta quality excellent. They were sold out of tiramisu, which I would have ordered. However, it was a blessing in disguise because the panna cotta they offered instead was a perfectly refreshing treat after our walk around the Roman ruins all day, and I was absolutely thrilled they could give me a mango-flavoured one!
They had a private room above for their customers. We had the place to ourselves for most of the time we were there and that was lovely too, especially as we had a good view of Castel Sant’Angelo.- Servizio

We ordered 2 lasagnas and they were delicious. There are two levels; we decided to go upstairs and it was very pleasant. The service is very good, you order, wait a little, and they give it to you. The prices are great, definitely worth going.

Must visit if you’re looking for fresh pasta and a quick, reasonably priced meal! Excellent customer service. Order at the front and enjoy your meal (and the air conditioning on a hot day) at a table upstairs. Pasta was so fresh and flavorful! We ordered the Cacio e Pepe and Ragu. Tiramisu was delicious as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious fresh pasta. We got their lasagna of the day and the bucatini with gricia, and both were amazing. The guanciale were crispy beyond belief. The staff were very friendly and explained what each item was to us. As we sat and ate, a number of local Italians came to grab a bite as well. The pasta portion is fair for the price, but the drinks are a bit overpriced.

Pastevere was honestly one of my favorite food experiences in Rome. I had heard that they make their pasta fresh every single day, and it truly lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the place felt welcoming—modern but still cozy, with a relaxed vibe that immediately made me feel comfortable.
The pasta was absolutely incredible. I tried the cacio e pepe, and it was honestly the best I’ve had in the city. Simple, creamy, perfectly seasoned, and you could taste the freshness in every bite. My friend ordered the carbonara, and we ended up sharing because both dishes were too good to miss. The pasta texture was spot-on, and the sauces were flavorful without being too heavy. You can tell everything is made with care and love.
The staff made the experience even better. They were so kind, friendly, and patient when explaining the menu. They also recommended a local wine that paired beautifully with the meal. I really appreciated how genuine and attentive they were—it felt less like being served in a restaurant and more like being taken care of by friends.
Prices were very fair for the quality you get. Rome can be full of touristy spots that feel overpriced, but Pastevere is the opposite. It feels authentic, local, and worth every euro.

Very good food and very good service. Started to recommend me different types of pasta without even asking. Even though I was a kid they treated me normally, in comparison to many restaraunts in Rome. They catered to all of my needs as a halal Muslim, telling me which pasta does not have wine.

Best pasta (and sauce!) in Rome. After an 8 day stay, eating as much as often as I could at restaurants of various locations and prices, nothing came close to this FRESH pasta, presented with care, passion, and skill. Absolutely delicious. The pesto is exquisite.

This is one of those places that you'll be dreaming about long after you left because it's just that good. The homemade pasta and sauces are outstanding and the staff are really, really nice. You order by choosing what pasta you want and then what sauce. All the flavors are so simple yet so delicious. The prices are reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. Don't pass this place up on your visit to Roma.

The pasta is fantastic. Homemade, made to order and delicious. The service is friendly and welcoming. AND the toilets are clean, with soap and paper towels - - rare for Rome. I cannot recommend them more highly. A wonderful place.
